The conventional method of teaching is flawed, where we leave the student to struggle by asking them to imagine theories for which they have no base. Their science begins from a book and ends in a dark, narrow valley in which they get lost and give up. Due to this the percentage of STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is just ____ percent and keeps dropping.

Star Academy began in 2006 with the drive to contest this traditional approach. Science is all around us, in every activity and every action we take, it is just a matter of pulling back the curtains of the unseen world to open children’s minds to new wonders.
